It's a BOY!!

The moment we have been waiting for has finally come!  I know we could have found the gender out sooner, but figured to just wait until we could find out with our doctor.  Everyone was guessing it was a boy and we know four other couples that are having boys as well (something in the water).  The ultrasound went well and it is amazing how much HE has grown since our first ultrasound.  He was moving around like crazy, the technician could barely keep up with him.  I hope this isn't an indication of years to come.  I just said he was excited to make his debut.  Baby boy is in the 85th percentile for size and weighs 11oz. right now, but that is only because his legs are measuring quite long.  I am now almost halfway through my pregnancy, crazy to think.  I have been one lucky pregnant women and hope that it stays that way.
He was moving so much (doing somersaults for his debut) this was the best picture!

Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Williams!

Last weekend my college roommate, Jenna, got married.  It was a beautiful wedding, that I was so honored to be a part of.  Following the wedding was a beautiful reception at Calamigos Ranch in Malibu (home of the Biggest Loser).  It was the most magical reception place I have ever seen.  Congratulations Jenna and Richard, we are so happy for you and wish you a lifetime full of love and laughter!

Happy Birthday Rooney-We Miss You!

Today is Patrick Rooney's Birthday and what better way to celebrate than the annual golf tournament at Black Gold.  This was the course that Patrick frequently played at and now Erynn lives on one of the fairways.  Last year was a wonderful celebration and unfortunately this year I could not go because of work.  Kevin was there playing some golf with some of the Pepperdine Baseball Alumni.  Happy Birthday Rooney!  There isn't a day that goes by that we are not thinking about you-miss ya lots!  Here are some pictures from last years fun!

17 Weeks and Jenna's Bridal Shower

This week marked 17 weeks, I cannot even believe it.  We saw the doctor today and everything is looking great.  We got to hear the heartbeat, which is something so amazing to Kevin and I.   Our little one has a strong heart beat and was moving around quite a bit (not that I can feel much of it).  In two weeks we have our anatomy ultrasound and get to find out the sex of the baby-woohoo!!  We cannot wait to find out and get the babies room decorated, not to mention do "a little" shopping on Black Friday.
This past weekend I also had my college roommates bridal shower.  It was such a wonderful morning.  We roomed together all 4 years at Pepperdine and I have to say, I truly lucked out with such an amazing person.  I am so happy for Jenna and Richard and look forward to being a part of their special day this weekend.
17 Weeks

After the doctors today Kevin and I went on a beautiful hike on the trails in Dana Point.  We took this big loop that started at the top of the harbor and ended up down at Strands Beach.  It was a gorgeous day to walk.  We even picked out the lot for our next home ;)

The front lot we have picked out!  Since the walk was so great we said we would come back frequently to check the progress on our home (haha!) ;)

Halloween 2010!

As Kevin and I sat carving our pumpkins the other night all we could think about was how different next year will be for us.  We will have a 6 month old all dressed up and ready to go trick-or-treating.  We cannot wait, especially to pass on our traditions for the holidays.  Kev and I have always carved pumpkins together and watched "The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown."  The artist that he is, he usually spends way more time on his pumpkin than me.  This year I had cleaned out and carved my whole pumpkin before he even printed out his template from the computer.  The store bought booklets are not challenging enough for him.  When he came down to see my very "clean" and finished pumpkin he said "that is an embarrassment to this house!"  Haha!  Next year I look forward to visiting all the different pumpkin patches with our "little pumpkin."
